Dr. Sophie Kaplan Mutch
Dr. Sophie Kaplan Mutch is a PNW native who grew up exploring all that the West Coast has to offer. She attended Western Oregon University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. During this time, she joined the women’s rugby team and learned to appreciate the impact that strength training can have on sports performance.
Education & Background
After graduation, Sophie continued exploring sports performance through personal training and powerlifting. Her love of rehabilitation grew, which led her to enroll in the Doctor of Chiropractic program at the University of Western States, concurrently completing her master’s in Sports Medicine. Sophie especially loves helping folks tap into the strength that they didn’t know they possessed, and enjoys making the connection between our mental and emotional wellbeing to the effects felt in our bodies.

Life Outside the Clinic
Sophie currently coaches powerlifting and has competed several times at a national level. With her best lift being the deadlift, hitting 440 lbs at 137 lbs bodyweight. Her background includes a variety of sports, including Cross Country Running, Track, Rugby, Olympic lifting, and CrossFit. More recently she’s been enjoying adult rec league Kickball.
